카디스바이오가 산업통상자원부가 지원하는 총 45억원 규모의 ‘iPSC 세포치료제 배양용 디지털 트윈 기술 개발 및 검증’ 국가연구개발과제의 주관기관으로 선정됐습니다. 지난 7월 세계 최초로 iPSC 유래 혈관내피세포(iPSC-EC)를 말초동맥질환 환자에게 투여한 데 이어, 이번 과제를 통해 AI·디지털 트윈 기반 제조공정 고도화에 나섭니다.

카디스바이오는 iPSC-EC 제조공정 데이터 구축과 GMP 제조공정 실증을 통해 세포 품질의 일관성과 생산 효율성을 높이고, 향후 임상 및 상업화를 뒷받침하는 첨단 세포치료제 제조 플랫폼을 구축해 나갈 계획입니다.

KadisBio has been selected as the lead organization for a KRW 4.5 billion (approximately USD 3.2 million) national R&D project supported by Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) to develop and validate digital twin technology for iPSC cell therapy manufacturing. Following the world’s first administration of iPSC-derived endothelial cells (iPSC-ECs) to a patient with peripheral artery disease in July, KadisBio is taking another step forward by integrating AI and digital twin technologies into its manufacturing processes.

Through this project, KadisBio aims to improve manufacturing consistency and production efficiency and establish an advanced manufacturing platform to support the clinical development and future commercialization of iPSC-based cell therapies.
