카리스바이오는 보건복지부 산하 ‘첨단재생의료임상연구 활성화지원사업단’이 추진하는 첨단재생의료 임상연구 활성화 지원사업의 일환으로, 연세의료원이 주관기관으로 선정된 연구과제에 핵심 연구기관으로 참여하게 되었습니다.

작년 4월 세계 최초로 임상시험 승인을 받은 유도만능줄기세포(iPSC) 유래 내피세포 치료제를 활용한 말초동맥질환 치료제 개발과 관련된 임상연구로, 연세의료원이 주관하며, 카리스바이오는 투여용 인체세포 생산 및 품질관리 업무를 수행합니다.

연세의료원과의 긴밀한 협력을 통해 iPSC 기반 세포치료제의 세계 최초 상용화를 목표로 연구개발에 박차를 가하겠습니다.

카리스바이오, 첨단재생의료 임상 연구 활성화 지원사업 참여 – 머니투데이

KarisBio has been selected as a core research institution in a project led by Yonsei University Health System, under the national initiative for promoting clinical research in advanced regenerative medicine, organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare’s Clinical Research Support Program for Advanced Regenerative Medicine.This project involves clinical research on a treatment for peripheral artery disease using induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived endothelial cells, a therapy that received the world’s first clinical trial approval in April last year. Yonsei University Health System serves as the principal investigator, while KarisBio is responsible for the production and quality control of clinical-grade human cells used in the treatment.Through close collaboration with Yonsei University Health System, KarisBio is accelerating R&D efforts toward the world’s first commercialization of iPSC-based cell therapy.
